Close on the heels of being recognised as among the 100 Most Sustainably Managed Companies in the World, Mahindra & Mahindra has now been ranked as India’s second most responsible company on Sustainability and CSR.

M&M has received the highest ranking for a manufacturing company in the 7th Futurescape Responsible Business Rankings, based on the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) framework. Over 90 parameters were used to map India’s top companies on ESG metrics.

M&M, one of the leading companies in sustainability and CSR, was among the first companies globally to commit to doubling its energy productivity through the EP 100 initiative. As many as 14 of Mahindra Group’s manufacturing plants are now certified as ‘Zero Waste to Landfill’.

The company has launched multiple initiatives and projects to conserve the environment and engage with local communities to build a sustainable and eco-friendly world. It is also the first Indian company to introduce an internal carbon price of US$10 per ton of carbon emitted. The funds thus raised are invested in renewable energy and energy-efficient motors.
