The Mahindra Group has pledged to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040. One of the ways to do this is to increase the use of renewables. Its captive solar plant in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra will mitigate carbon equivalent to 79,000 tons of annual carbon emission. For comparison, this is equivalent to supplying 20,650 Indian households with power annually.
