The week-long campaign included quizzes, puzzles and training session across teams and supplier partners
The Strategic Sourcing Unit (SSU) at Mahindra observed National Safety Week from March 4 to 10, 2025. This year’s theme - Safety & Well-being Crucial for Viksit Bharat – resonated deeply with the group’s vision of being a leading organisation that prioritises human life and contributes significantly to the nation’s economic growth.
The week kicked off with a series of events, quiz contest etc. for SSU colleagues and supplier partners for spreading safety awareness and to familiarise employees with safety measures, emergency procedures and best practices for managing risks in their respective areas.
A keynote was shared with supplier partners by Mr. Ritesh Agrawal, Head SSU - Auto Sector highlighting importance of safer workplace, well-being of employees while ensuring business continuity.
Activities included
- Fastest Finger First – Online safety quiz game.
- Word Puzzle – Online safety word finding game.
- Safety Brainiac – A classroom quiz show was conducted between 16 teams in a knockout round basis. In this event FES commodity team came out as winner.
- Electrical Safety Training for Suppliers – A one-day training session was organised on electrical safety awareness and requirements in which 49 participants from 29 suppliers attended the session.

The closing ceremony along with prize distribution was organised in the presence of Mr. Harish Chavan, Chief Purchase Officer – AFS and Mr. R Veeraraghavan, Head SSU – FES and Common commodities where leaders reiterated the importance of safety in daily life and focus on safety risk reduction in supply chain for business continuity.
They also emphasised the spirit of National Safety Week into our daily routines, ensuring that safety remains a priority — not just in emergencies but as a proactive, everyday mindset and hence ensuring a resilient and safer supply chain.
SSU teams participated with full enthusiasm for the successful Safety Week celebration and committed to make safety a year round mandate.
