M&M - Engine Plant Chakan, Auto Sector, holds felicitation ceremony at ITI Anudh

As a part of its CSR initiative, M&M - Engine Plant Chakan, Auto Sector, adopted and developed the infrastructure at government-run Girls Industrial Training Institute (ITI) located in Aundh, Pune. The initiative involved construction of washrooms with adequate hygiene facilities; provision of auditorium; beautification of the premises like landscaping; upgradation of the existing lab with provision of instruments, etc. Additionally, M&M organised vocational training programs such as electronics and telecommunication as per the industry demand.

On occasion of the upcoming International Women’s Day on March 8, the institute held a felicitation ceremony that was attended by prominent dignitaries of State Government and industry representatives from other organisations, along with students of ITI. Mr. Mangalpratab Lodha, the Cabinet Minister for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship of Maharashtra, for along with Mr Sanjay Kshirsagar, Head – Manufacturing Operations, Engine Plant – Chakan & Igatpuri along with Dr Chanchal Mertia, Lead and Project and Mr Navanath Suryawanshi, Manager- Employee Relations also appointed as Chairman IMC Girls ITI Aundh were all present.

Mahindra has been conducting the training program for the last 5 years and absorbed about 10 students into the organization.
