Mahindra Susten’s celebrates the graduation of its Surya Shakti 2024 batch

At Mahindra Susten believes clean energy has the power to uplift communities, drive innovation and create equal opportunities. Through this flagship Surya Shakti Programme at the Center of Excellence (CoE), launched in 2017 is not just training women but shaping the next generation of leaders in the renewable energy sector.

Today, women make up less than 8% of the renewable energy workforce—but that’s changing with Surya Shakti. This program equips women with hands-on expertise in solar PV installation, SCADA monitoring, project management, and safety standards, opening doors to careers that redefine their futures. This is more than just skill-building—it’s a movement toward a cleaner, more equitable world where women lead the charge in innovation.

With over 150+ women already trained as skilled solar technicians Surya Shakti is fueling the future of the renewable industry. Recently, the team celebrated the graduation of Surya Shakti Batch 2024—a group of 26 exceptional young women who successfully completed a 40-day residential program, sponsored by Mahindra Susten, and have now stepped into the industry with placements at Mahindra Susten and Mahindra Teqo.
