Mahindra Group leads the conversation on Tyre Circularity in collaboration with Xynteo
Mahindra Group, in collaboration with Xynteo, recently hosted a workshop titled "Accelerating Sustainable Practices in the Tyre Value Chain," focusing on sustainable practices across tyre manufacturing and end-of-life management. This initiative aligns with Mahindra's Planet Positive strategy, which emphasizes material circularity as a key pillar for driving climate action.
The event brought together diverse stakeholders from the tyre ecosystem, including tyre OEMs (Apollo, Goodyear, Ceat, MRF, JK Tyre, BKT, Bridgestone), recyclers (MRAI), industry associations (ATMA), and supply chain partners (AP Chemi, Birla Carbon, GPSNR). It provided a platform for collective action and collaboration to address sustainability challenges.

The session commenced with a keynote speech from Mr. Anant Goenka, Vice Chairman, RPG Group, who urged the industry to view tyre circularity as an opportunity and emphasized the importance of allocating resources for sustainable initiatives. Highlights included:
- Tyre OEMs: Shared insights on sustainable manufacturing and tyre recycling challenges.
- Panel Discussions: Featured industry leaders discussing strategies to scale tyre recycling in India.
- Recyclers: Outlined global best practices and India’s recycling landscape.
- Supply Chain Partners: Showcased innovations in recycling technologies and sustainable sourcing.
Mahindra Group concluded the workshop by presenting metrics to measure tyre recycling effectiveness and proposed quarterly data tracking to drive progress. The event was widely appreciated, with attendees advocating for continued collective action to tackle climate challenges in the tyre industry.
This workshop reinforces Mahindra Group's commitment to sustainability and its leadership in driving impactful collaborations across industries."
