Book donation, plastic collection and paddy sowing are some of the Esop activities conducted across Mahindra Group this July
Reuse to Read

On April 21, 2025, Mahindra Logistics launched ‘Reuse to Read’, a month-long book donation drive aimed at supporting underprivileged children in their educational journey. The initiative encouraged employees to donate old or new books, stationery, school bags, uniforms, and other essential learning materials.
The response was truly inspiring. Fourteen MLL locations participated wholeheartedly, collecting and donating with compassion and purpose. They collaborated with eight NGOs, schools and orphanages, positively impacting the lives of 529 children. A total of 291 employee volunteers contributed 360 hours of their time, making this drive a true example of collective action.
‘Reuse to Read’ wasn’t just about giving it was about enabling learning, sparking curiosity, and building brighter futures.
Together, let’s keep spreading the joy of education one book at a time.
Paddy sowing at Mahindra Kandivali

Mahindra Auto team took on a unique Esop activity this July. Two buses filled with associates from the Mahindra Kandivali plant travelled to Palghar to sow paddy in partnership with Seva Sahyog, the partner NGO.
The preparation for this activity started over a month back with nomination coming in from across the organisation, allowing the team to create a seamless plan. With the campaign running for over a month – employees across teams – safety team, union, ER, production, managers and ever production and plants heads – participating in this 2–3-hour long activity.
The farmer on whose 15 guntha land, the sowing activity occurred recently lost her husband. Due to her unstable financial condition, she was unable to hire labour to sow the fields, and since the sowing season window is limited to the Monsoon season, and to ensure maximum survival and good harvest, the activity was not just timely but also required.
Plastic Collection Drive

To mark World Environment Day on June 5, Mahindra Logistics launched a month-long Plastic Collection Drive from June 5 – 30 2025. The drive reaffirms their commitment to environmental sustainability and collective responsibility.
This initiative received overwhelming support from employees nationwide with a total of 4,201 kilograms of plastic waste collected — a significant achievement driven by the power of collective action.
With 941 volunteers who contributed their time and efforts, dedicating 1,478 hours of their time across 40 MLL locations, this drive reflects MLL shared responsibility towards creating a cleaner
environment and reinforces the importance of sustainable practices within and beyond our organisation.
