MySeva turns 5!

Celebrating those who manifest the ‘Spirit of Service’ one ‘act of kindness’ at a time.

On October 2, 2020, the day that marked a unique milestone in the Mahindra Group’s journey, the Group launched MySeva, the Spirit of Seva platform. Dedicating its platinum jubiliee to the ‘Spirit of Service’, the Group launched this internal portal with an aims to encourage employees to actively participate in community service and social development projects and also serve as a platform to celebrate employees who devote their valuable time doing small or big acts of kindness throughout the year.

On the 5th anniversary of MySeva platform, Echo starts a series to celebrate some of our star volunteers.

What do you do?

I am in performance reporting and analyse market trends and competitive activities to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making. My job involves analysing the performance of Bristlecone’s business units across various financial, operational and people parameters to benchmark against competitors and the industry.

What inspires you to volunteer and help others?

I’m inspired to volunteer because it lets me turn empathy into action. Volunteering gives me a sense of purpose and well-being beyond my desk job. It also allows me to make a real, tangible difference in my community.

What kind of volunteering work do you do?

Blood donation: I volunteered at a blood donation camp and I donated blood as well. Education: I volunteer at a school kit assembly workshop for the underprivileged children studying in standard Class 1-10

What do you do?

I head the Global Workplace Solutions (Administration and Travel) at Bristlecone. This includes safety and security of workplace and Domestic and International Travel desk.

What inspires you to volunteer and help others?

I am inspired to volunteer and help others by the belief that small acts of kindness can create meaningful change. Seeing the positive impact that support and compassion can have on individuals and communities motivates me to give my time and effort. I am also inspired by the

resilience of people facing challenges and the opportunity to make a difference, no matter how small, in their lives. Volunteering allows me to contribute to a better society and reminds me of the importance of empathy and solidarity.

What kind of volunteering work do you do?

I actively volunteer with various organisations in areas such as helping underprivileged and mentally challenged children, environmental conservation, sustainability, healthcare services, fundraising, and community outreach. My involvement includes assisting with awareness campaigns, and organising community clean-up drives for children and women in my locality. I do not have any specific goals in volunteering, but I am open to opportunities whenever they arise as I believe it is a blessing and a calling.
