Fostering a love for reading

At Mahindra, our commitment to community and social responsibility is at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to launch a new series, Champions of Change, highlighting the incredible efforts and inspiring stories of Mahindraites who are making a difference through our ESOPs (Employee Social Options Programs) and MySeva initiatives. By sharing their stories, we hope to create a ripple effect among all Mahindraites and that it encourages even more participation and showcases the impact of our collective efforts.

Snehal Pawar, Principal Designer at Mahindra Global Design, MIDS Mumbai, recently participated in the Har Hath Kitaab initiative, a children’s book donation drive led by the Design Studio team, part of the MySeva initiative. His role involved spreading awareness within the department and managing the logistics for book collection from the Design Studio. This initiative aimed to provide books to underprivileged children, fostering a love for reading and learning. "It was a rewarding experience to see our collective efforts come to life," he shares.

Reflecting on the children's book donation drive, Snehal thanks the M&M-AFS CSR team for the opportunity. He highlights the joy of seeing colleagues contribute, even amidst school exams, bringing academic and storybooks from their children’s libraries. "Knowing that I played a part in fostering a love for reading and giving back to the community in these young minds was incredibly rewarding," he concludes.

Snehal, dedicated to volunteerism, looks forward to engaging in more such initiatives in the future. His story highlights the positive impact and fulfilment that come from giving back to the community. Snehal’s experience reflects Mahindra's larger commitment to making a difference, one initiative at a time, and serves as an inspiration for all of us to get involved and contribute to creating a ripple effect of change. Through this series, we aim to bring to you many such stories of our colleagues volunteering and sharing their first-hand experiences. Watch this space for more!
