Ethics

Mahindra Group

Always trust-positive! Mahindra has grown to become a large global business group, and has always remained true to its founding principles, which were laid out in 1945. If you have not seen our first newspaper advertisement, this is your chance.

Set up in 1945, the Mahindra Group is an inspirational story of outstanding business performance spanning over seven decades. All these years, the Group has operated morally and responsibly.

Our core values of professionalism, good corporate citizenship, customer centricity, emphasis on quality, and respect for the dignity of the individual (which includes all our stakeholders) have served us well all these years. How we do business (with a conscience) and why we are in business (to enable our stakeholders and the communities we serve to ‘Rise’) unite us as a Group.

“We believed in Ethics, Dignity, Meritocracy, Diversity & Inclusion from the time of our founding 77 years ago. An advertisement, which appeared in The Times of India on 8th November 1945, bears testimony to that. Our core values - Professionalism, Good corporate citizenship, Dignity of the individual, Customer first and Quality focus - were given to us by our founding fathers and have been with us ever since. These are immutable and cannot be compromised.”
Ruzbeh Irani, President - Group Human Resources, Member of the Group Executive Board.

We firmly believe that a strong corporate governance framework is key to the success of any business. Values and ethics, guided by an expert board, begin at the top and permeate the organization's culture. The Mahindra Group culture is one in which everyone works on merit, lives the organisation's values, and sets an example of good corporate citizenship.
