Chandrima Kirtonia urges her PWD colleagues to never give up on their dreams

Chandrima joined Mahindra Logistics in 2020 as part of the presales team. She was hesitant to apply to this position because she did not come from a logistics background, but she went forward with the application anyway. “My first year was filled with a lot of learning. However, the people here made working and learning enjoyable for me,” she says. It was her colleagues’ unwavering support that convinced her that she could achieve a lot more in the coming years.

“My parents' support and belief in me has enabled me to achieve new heights in my life. I urge my PWD colleagues to believe in themselves and never give up on their dreams.” — Chandrima Kirtonia

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities (observed on December 3 every year) promotes the inclusion of people with disabilities worldwide. Likewise, our Purpose and Core Values should motivate us to learn more about disability and inclusion and to advocate for the dignity, rights, and well-being of persons with disabilities (PWDs).

The Diversity and Inclusion team at Mahindra Logistics is running the #IDPWDAwareness campaign to foster a truly inclusive work environment. They have also issued guidelines on how to communicate with PWDs. These guidelines, when followed, will contribute to the elimination of negative stereotypes, which, in turn, is critical for us to Rise for an Equal World and empower our PWD colleagues.
