This year’s festivities are extra special! Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. - the flagship company of the Mahindra Group, is celebrating its Diamond Jubilee of 75 years. And we want to celebrate it with you!

Even before India gained its independence, two young men, Jagdish Chandra Mahindra and Kailash Chandra Mahindra dreamed of a modern nation that would take it’s rightful place in the world. On October 2nd 1945 the two enterprising young men, joined hands with a third, Ghulam Mohammed, to set up Mahindra & Mohammed, a steel trading company. In 1948, post-Partition, the nascent company changed its name to Mahindra & Mahindra.

Today, Mahindra is a respected global brand, with over 150 companies and over 250,000 employees, and a presence in over 100 countries across 11 different business sectors.

The Mahindra Group celebrates October 2nd every year as its Founders’ Day. As Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group, has said, “Sharing our birthday with that of the Father of the Nation is a never-ending source of inspiration for us.”
