Swaraj celebrates Founders' Day with enthusiasm and in-house talent

The 79th Founders' Day was graced by the chief guests, Mr Narayan Shankar, EVP and Company Secretary, M&M Ltd. and his wife, Mrs. Rajeshwari Shankar. Upholding Swaraj’s tradition, the organisation’s oldest employee, Mr Shiv Kumar, and its youngest employee, Ms Poonam Rani, felicitated the Shankars—a gesture that beautifully symbolised Swaraj’s culture of inclusivity and respect.

Month long celebrations of Founders’ Day at Swaraj division culminated with a colourful evening at Plant 1, Plant-2, Plant-3 and Foundry. A highlight of the celebration was the exceptional showcase of in-house talent, with employees and their families taking centre stage to deliver outstanding performances. The event featured a vivid display of India’s cultural diversity, with captivating dance and music performances representing various Indian states. From traditional folk songs to a rap song dedicated to Swaraj, the performances were a testament to the incredible talent that thrives within the organisation, filling the evening with high spirits and energy.

As many as 3,500 employees participated in pre-Founders' Day activities, contributing an impressive 550 hours of engagement.

The evening commenced by paying floral tribute to Mahindra’s visionary founders, honouring their legacy.

In addition to the vibrant cultural program, the evening celebrated excellence across Swaraj’s plants. Plant-level Kaizen and Safety were recognised for their outstanding efforts. The event also honoured the winners of the Inter-plant Cricket, Volleyball, and Tug-of-War tournaments, celebrating the sportsmanship and teamwork.

The lively Swaraj Carnival, held prior to the cultural program, added to the day’s excitement. With various food, beverage, and game stalls, the carnival created a festive atmosphere that employees and their families thoroughly enjoyed.
