Here is a look at the inspiring initiatives across Mahindra Group offices

To commemorate International Women’s Day, we highlight the remarkable initiatives undertaken by Mahindra Group Corporate Office, Mahindra Finance and the Swaraj Division to celebrate and honour women.

Starting with ‘Forward Together: A Conversation with Mahindra Group Leadership,’ moderated by Abanti Sankaranarayanan, Chief Group Public Affairs Officer. This session featured insightful discussions led by Ruzbeh Irani, President, Group HR, Kausalya Sreenivasan, Chief Operating Officer, and Amarjyoti Barua, Executive Vice President - Group Strategy.

Followed by, ‘Diverse Dialogues: Industry Leaders Talk on Inspiring Inclusion,’ moderated by Rucha Nanavati, CIO of Mahindra Group. The session brought together prominent figures including Arundhati Bhattacharya, Chairperson and CEO of Salesforce India, Kamolika Peres, Group VP and MD of ServiceNow India/South Asia and Chandra Iyengar, Rtd. IAS Officer and Independent Director on multiple boards.

Swaraj Division drives empowerment

Swaraj Division concluded its celebration of International Women's Day from March 4 to 7, 2024 through a series of events at Swaraj's manufacturing plants with an aim to promote growth, inclusion, and empowerment.

Sessions provided insights into breaking barriers and recognising women's potential within Swaraj. Additionally, specialised sessions led by healthcare professionals emphasised holistic well-being, encouraging women employees to prioritise their health. By weaving inclusivity into its organisational fabric, Swaraj reaffirmed its commitment to advancing towards a more equal world, aligned with Mahindra's Rise philosophy.

The four-day celebration concluded with laughter, talent, and a special lunch. Members of the Swaraj Executive Council joined women employees in these celebrations, reaffirming the collective effort towards empowerment.

Mahindra Finance salutes inspiring women

Mahindra Finance took a step to recognise and salute inspiring women who work towards the safety and well-being of others. Anuradha B M, entrepreneur and founder of Go Pink Cabs, and a proud customer of Mahindra Finance, was placed centre stage for her remarkable initiative in Bengaluru.

Go Pink Cabs, a cab service run by women for women, was born out of Anuradha's purpose to make journeys safer for women. Not only does the service provide a safer transportation alternative, but it also empowers women from underprivileged backgrounds by offering them employment opportunities as drivers. Mahindra Finance proudly acknowledges such inspiring stories, reaffirming its integral role in supporting its customers' financing journeys.

Tech Mahindra Inspires Inclusion

Tech Mahindra commemorated International Women's Day with a series of impactful initiatives aimed at fostering inclusion and empowerment within the organisation.
‘Voices of Leadership - #InspireInclusion To forge a better world’ was launched in celebration of the invaluable contributions women make in both personal and professional spheres, where leaders were invited to share their perspectives on inclusion. Their insights and experiences provided invaluable guidance to others.

CEO, Mohit Joshi, engaged with women associates from diverse verticals, addressing questions and fostering open dialogue.

The company's social media campaign, #LeadTheCharge, paid tribute to women leaders within Tech Mahindra, celebrating their resilience and achievements in breaking barriers. The Panel discussions and expert talks featured industry leaders, including Debjani Ghosh, President of NASSCOM, and Lorraine More, a Gold Medallist, India, Triona O’Keeffe – CIO Data & Analytics, London Stock Exchange Group, Anjela Sim – Chief Technology Resiliency, Experience & Operations Officer, BMO Bank. They brought in valuable insights into the themes, #InspiringInclusion and #InvestInWomen:AccelerateTheirProgress.

Tech Mahindra also demonstrated its commitment to women's health through health talks and free health consultations. Physical wellness was promoted through energizing Zumba sessions and the JOSHATHON initiative, highlighting men's support for women's causes.

Additionally, the "Inspire a TechMighty" initiative involved the distribution of inspirational books internally, aiming to inspire inclusion across various dimensions.
