In the second edition of Inclusion Week Mahindra Finance reiterated the need and power of allyship at the workplace through talks, workshops and activities to create inclusivity and awareness

Mahindra Finance recently concluded its annual week-long inclusion celebration Spectrum across India and Sri Lanka. This year, the company reiterated the power of allyship at workplace with the theme ‘Saathi: Together As Allies’ making inclusion relatable, actionable, and truly ours. Held between November 11 to 15, the Inclusion Week was the second edition.

With creative challenges and initiatives like virtual drama delights, interactive workshops and hyper-localised employees-CXO connects, Mahindra Finance engaged employees across regions. From flipping the script on exclusionary behaviours to discovering our support styles, thanking peers and leaders for their support, recognising advocacy champions across regions, Mahindra Finance celebrated the many ways we can stand together as allies.

Each activity reinforced one truth ‘Inclusion isn’t just a goal—it’s a journey we walk together, one step, one act, one conversation at a time.’ Together, we build a supportive and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.

While, last year’s workshop focused on identifying ‘unconscious biases’, this year, a key intervention planned for leaders was a skill building programme – ‘Leading as Allies’, designed specifically to empower leaders with tools, knowledge, and perspectives to foster a truly inclusive workplace.

Objectives:

• Recognising exclusion and understanding allyship
• Developing an allyship mindset and learning types of allyship
• Step-by-step approach to practice allyship

The team worked on identifying different roles that we all play basis scope of work and nature of responsibility. The role played by leaders, managers and employees is different and different interventions were planned to educate their role and set expectations from their role as an ally.
