A joint initiative of Mumbai-based Mahindra offices, the coastal clean-up drive at Dadar Beach, Mumbai October 7, 2023, saw a participation of over 175 volunteers across all Mahindra companies. Organised by the Mahindra CSR team with an objective to reduce marine pollution and raise awareness about its hazardous effects on marine life, the initiative registered 1,500 kg of waste. The plastic waste will be recycled by Jay Foundation, a non-profit that segregates the waste collected and discards the waste as per government rules.
The drive saw the participation from across companies – employees from Auto and Farm Division - Kandivali office, Tech Mahindra Ltd., Mahindra Susten, Mahindra Logistics Ltd., Mahindra Accelo Ltd., Mahindra First Choice Wheels Ltd., Mahindra and Mahindra Financial Services Ltd., Mahindra Rural Housing Finance Ltd., Bristlecone, Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd. (MHRIL), Mahindra Insurance Brokers Ltd (MIBL), Mahindra Integrated Business Solutions (MIBS), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd (MLDL) , Mahindra Manulife Investment Management Pvt. Ltd. (MMIMPL), and Group Corporate office.
