As we come out of the International Women’s Day weekend, here is a quick look at little and big things Mahindra Group companies did to honour the women at work and the world around
At Mahindra Auto, IWD celebrations were at high pitch. They wound down the week with a musical performance and panel discussion on the theme of #AccelerateAction. While the musical performance was held at Mindworks, Mumbai it was streamed live across locations. The team also shared inspiring women’s stories through the week, and launched a dedicated microsite for generating customised e-cards with printers on premise so people can present framed ecards to the women who inspire them.

International Women’s Day celebrations at Swaraj were a resounding success, bringing together employees to honour and celebrate the contributions of women in the workplace. The thoughtfully curated itinerary ensured a mix of health awareness, cultural enrichment, and team engagement activities. The event began with a focus on health awareness held from 6th to 8th March at the respective Plant OHCs; on 7th March, employees tuned in to an inspiring Women’s Day Musical Play streamed online via MS Teams. Team engagement activities at the recreational hall brought colleagues together, fostering camaraderie and strengthening team bonds And a chance to capture a moment with the Swaraj tractor.
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility’s WE (Women Entrepreneurs) Hunnar CSR project started in July 2024 and aims to provide skills to women who aspire to become entrepreneurs. The skills imparted include 3W/4W driver training, EV repair and maintenance, customer care. A total of 245 women were trained under this initiative. Started in Bengaluru, Mahindra WE (Women Entrepreneurs) Hunnar will now be rolled out to other cities across India. MLMML marked International Women's Day by recognising these trained women beneficiaries to get their three and four-wheeler licenses as part of the Mahindra WE (Women Entrepreneurs) Hunnar initiative. This pioneering program has trained 52 women to drive three and four wheelers, equipping them with the skills and resources to build sustainable livelihoods and achieve financial independence. MLMML also facilitated the licensing process and, in collaboration with financial institutions, extended loan opportunities to help these women. Many of these women have secured placements, creating long-term employment opportunities.
Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd chose to celebrate IWD’25 with the theme #AcceleratingAction, that emphasised the importance of taking swift and decisive steps toward achieving gender equality and calls for worldwide acknowledgment of strategies, resources, and actions that positively impact women's advancement. With the help of their ERG across MLDL planned a series of engaging activities for its associates across locations. These include Inspiring Women Stories – where associates shared stories of women who inspired their lives; #StrikingAnAcceleratingActionPose Competition inviting associates to submit photos showcasing their solidarity to women's advancement; fun online quizzes on gender equality; women's health awareness session and a panel discussion with Asha Kharga, Chief Customer & Brand Officer and Member of the Group Executive Board of the Mahindra Group and Amrita Chaudhary, Independent Director, MLDL.
Mahindra Accelo had its own brand on Women’s Day celebrations with across all locations. From quiz sessions to games, to lunch and gifts – women at the office were pampered. The team created a day-long celebration with decorations and games through the day to not just keep women engaged but create awareness and a sense of celebration in the workspace.
