NIIF's India-Japan Fund invests in MLMML
Mahindra Group announced its partnership with the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) in its last-mile mobility endeavours through the India-Japan Fund (IJF). NIIF, via IJF, will invest INR 400 Crore at a valuation of up to INR 6600 Crore in Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Ltd., (MLMML) aligning with Mahindra's commitment to sustainable mobility solutions and the 'Planet Positive' goal by 2040. MLMML, initiated in September 2023, includes three-wheelers (Alfa, Treo, Zor) and four-wheeler SCV (Jeeto) brands. Read more

Mahindra and Ontario Teachers’ co-sponsor India's largest renewable energy InvIT
Mahindra Group and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board (Ontario Teachers’), a leading global institutional investor, through their associates have co-sponsored an Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT). The InvIT, ‘Sustainable Energy Infra Trust’ (SEIT), is India’s largest InvIT in the renewable energy space. SEIT, with a generation capacity of approximately 1.54 GWp, has raised INR 1365 Crore as part of the initial offer of units. It focuses on the growth of the renewable energy sector in India and positions Mahindra Susten for future development. Both Mahindra Group and Ontario Teachers' have committed to invest up to INR 3050 Crore and INR 3550 Crore, respectively, into Mahindra Susten and SEIT. Read more

Mahindra Susten's water positive certification
Mahindra Susten has achieved the prestigious 'Water Positive Verification' certificate for 100% of its operating portfolio in the assessment year FY23. The accreditation by TUV India recognises Susten's commitment to planet-positive initiatives and water resource conservation. The company's +1.5 GWp of renewable energy portfolio earned a remarkable score of 15 (Positive) on the Water Footprint Index, implying that water recharged is 15 times over what was consumed. Mahindra Susten's innovative strategies include reducing water consumption, eliminating water for module cleaning through advanced technology, and implementing sustainable practices like groundwater recharge systems. Mahindra World City signs MoU with Tamil Nadu government
Mahindra World City Developers Limited (MWCDL) has signed a MoU with the Government of Tamil Nadu, facilitating investments of over INR 1000 Crore over the next five years. This investment is expected to generate employment for over 2000 people. The initiative aligns with the launch of Origins by Mahindra – Phase II at Eliambedu village in Chennai. The first phase, spanning 307 acres, has already attracted renowned Japanese and Taiwanese enterprises, making it Tamil Nadu's first industrial cluster to be awarded the prestigious IGBC Green Cities' 'Platinum' rating for sustainable industrial development.
