Dr. Anish Shah, the MD and CEO of the Mahindra Group, has assumed the prestigious role of President at the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) for the term 2023-24. As the newly elected FICCI Chief, Dr. Shah is optimistic about India's economic trajectory, foreseeing a growth rate of 7.5-8% for the current fiscal year and an even more promising 8% or higher in 2024-25.
In an interview with PTI, Dr. Shah highlighted the substantial growth witnessed in the Indian economy. Expressing confidence in sustained momentum, he attributed this positive outlook to the ongoing investments and capacity additions by various companies, including notable contributions from the Mahindra Group.
Dr. Shah outlined FICCI's focus on key initiatives like Make in India, women-led development, farm prosperity, and sustainability to help the nation propel towards the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.
As Dr. Shah assumes the FICCI presidency, his dynamic leadership promises to steer the organisation towards fostering economic growth and resilience in the face of global challenges, with the Mahindra Group playing a vital role in this journey.
