Car & Bike India Gives Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. Pawan Goenka

Dr. Pawan Goenka, Managing Director, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd., has been conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award for his immense contribution to the automobile industry over the past 40 years, at the recently held 15th Car and Bike India Awards 2020 in Mumbai. The award was presented by H. S. Billimoria, CEO, Next Gen Publishing, and Aspi Bhathena, Editor Car India and Bike India magazines.

Dr. Goenka thanked the organizers for bestowing this honour on him, and his colleagues for their support in his journey over the last four decades. He also touched upon the churn and speed of transformation that the automobile industry is currently going through.

Finally, he also had a special word of appreciation for the organisers for recognising the Mahindra XUV300 compact SUV as India’ safest car, and was particularly proud that an Indian company achieved this feat.

Dr. Goenka joined Mahindra in 1993 as the head of R&D and spearheaded the development of several new models including the Bolero and Scorpio which helped transform the company’s product range and market image. Over the years, he has demonstrated not just his strong technical knowledge, but also excelled in his roles as manager and leader of the company.
